Step 1: Choose the Right Time – Clean and Moisturized Skin

The ideal time to apply perfume is right after showering.

• From where? After showering, your pores are open and your skin is cleansed. This allows the perfume to better integrate with your skin and the scent to last longer.
• Moistening:After showering, apply a fragrance-free moisturizer or lotion. Moisturized skin better captures fragrance molecules, significantly increasing the scent's longevity. It also prevents the alcohol in the perfume from drying out your skin.

Step 2: Identify Strategic Points – Pulse Points

You should spray the perfume on your body's "pulse points," the areas where blood vessels radiate heat and are closest to the skin. The heat in these areas helps the perfume gradually release its scent throughout the day.

The most ideal pulse points:

• Inside of the wrists:It is one of the most classic and effective points.
• Neck:The indentation just behind your ear and in the middle of your collarbone is ideal.
• Inside of elbows:Another effective area is the wrists.
• Behind the knees:It will allow the scent to spread as you walk, especially if you are wearing a skirt or shorts.

Step 3: Apply from the Correct Distance

Hold the perfume bottle away from your skin for about15-20 cmtighten while holding it away.

• From where?Spraying too close will cause the perfume to concentrate in a single spot and flow over your skin. Spraying from a distance will disperse the scent more evenly over a larger area, creating a more natural scent layer.

Step 4: The "Squeeze and Wait" Rule - Never Rub!

This is one of the most common mistakes. After applying perfume, especially with your wrists togetherdo not rub or scrub.

• From where?Friction creates heat, causing the perfume's top notes to evaporate very quickly. This destroys the perfume's original character and reduces its longevity. Simply spray and let it dry.

Step 5: Adjust the Amount – Less is Better, More is Better

The purpose of perfume is for someone passing by to faintly smell you, not for your scent to enter the room before you do.

• Eau de Parfum (EDP):Because it is more dense2-3 whispersis sufficient.
• Eau de Toilette (EDT):Because it is lighter3-4 whispersapplicable.
• Remember, your own nose will eventually get used to your scent and stop detecting it. This doesn't mean your perfume has worn off. Those around you may still be able to smell it.

Extra Tips and Tricks

• Application to Hair:Avoid spraying perfume directly onto your hair, as the alcohol in it can dry it out. Instead, spray the perfume onto your hairbrush and comb through your hair. This will allow the scent to spread pleasantly as you walk.
• Application to Clothing:You can spray the perfume directly onto your clothes; natural fabrics (cotton, wool) especially retain the scent well. However, be careful not to stain delicate fabrics like silk and light-colored clothing. Test on a small area first.
• Layering the Fragrance:If the perfume you use has side products such as shower gel or body lotion, using them together will maximize the longevity of the scent.
• Proper Storage:Keep your perfume away from direct sunlight, heat, and humidity. A cool, dark cupboard is best. Storing it in a bathroom can degrade the perfume due to temperature and humidity fluctuations.

By following these steps, you can get the most out of your perfume and feel great all day long with your signature scent.
